Tips and Tricks for Washing Your UTV
UTVs can build up an impressive layer of mud and dirt after only a single ride. While removing this layer of grime isn’t easy, it’s important for keeping your model in good condition. For tips on how to clean your UTV, as well as a list of specialty tools you may need, you can read through our helpful article below.
Tools
If you’ve decided it’s time to give your UTV a good scrub, you’ll first need to round up a few important tools. To start you’ll want to grab a sponge, a stiff brush, and a pressure washer. If you don't have access to a pressure washer, we strongly advise finding a high-pressure hose to help rinse away the majority of that stuck-on mud. You may also need to buy a plastic scraping tool in case you have to remove any of that stubborn grime by hand.
Washing
Before you grab your soap and sponge, you’ll want to turn on your hose and give your UTV a thorough rinse. Do your best to remove as much mud as you can with the hose before following up with your scraper and stiff brush. Once you’ve got all the dirt and mud removed, take your sponge and cleanser and start washing the body of the UTV. Once you’re done, you can give the machine a quick rinse and allow it to dry in the sun before parking it in the garage.
